Background
The Gifted Education Council (GEC) was founded by Professor Rex LI Ip Fu in 1988, which was registered as a charity organisation in the following year (Registration No.: 91/3096). The mission of the GEC is to promote gifted education and train gifted children. It is the founding organisation of G.T. (Ellen Yeung) College (GTC).
Mission
The GEC is the first organisation in Hong Kong, which promotes gifted and talented education. Devoted to the cause for two decades, the GEC has organised a series of pioneering work, namely from after-school training to setting up primary and secondary schools; and it has also nurtured the talents of gifted children in mathematics, visual arts, music, and sports. Each year, there are thousands of children who have benefited from the GEC. We have experts and scholars as leaders, and we own professional and international networks, anticipating to make a contribution to the gifted education in Hong Kong.
